Well today 06/15/2022 I started a 3 part combo of zipline, ATV and Waterfall TOUR at VISTA LOS SUENOS ADVENTURE PARK. Once we started the zipline, people kept getting stuck before reaching the end. The staff kept shouting "hurry, hurry come on". to the person stuck and causing then to become nervous. On my turn, I got stuck and the staff shouted at me "hurry, hurry before the next person collides with you". I became nervous and under pressure and much stress to pull myself up to avoid getting severely injured from another person crashing into me. I shouted to the guide, "you have a radio so call them and tell them to wait until I’m safe". the guide shouted they are already on their way hurry. As I pulled myself to safety, I tore my upper Bicep in the process. I had to be brought down in an ATV along with a lady who was traumatized from getting stuck numerous times. I was told I was going to be transported to a clinic. The doctor told me it was a partial tear and he was recommending me to go to emergency hospital in San Jose Costa Rica to have surgery. The park manager said it was not considered negligence so they were not covering medical expenses. They did cover the clinic bill. Vista Los Sueños Adventure Park refused to give me any type of incident report or statement. they said its different in costa Rica. If the guide did not yell at me telling me to hurry before the next person hit me by clashing with me then, I would have not moved and waited to be rescued and my in jury would not have occurred. I am very disappointed with the way they are treating me after this incident in a foreign land, as I am a U. S. Citizen. In my many years as a Safety professional and Federal Regulations Compliance Officer, I have never heard of an acceptable method of putting people in the line of fire, at heights where a life is trusted by a carabiner and wire rope. I am going to post this everywhere possible because this company needs to an audit. I'm in need of immediate surgery and I'm not sure if the hospital will take me and perform surgery since I'm a foreigner without...

We planned a day at Adventure Park to Zip Line and drive ATVs/Buggies.
We have mixed reviews.
We enjoyed the Zip Line portion, which was definitely worth it. It was a bit scary, but they explained what to do at each post, making us feel safe.
We had a break between activities while waiting for our ATV/Buggies tour. During the wait, we ate at the bar area. The food was good, but it took a while to arrive. One order came out 5 minutes before our next tour, even though we had ordered 45 minutes earlier. We canceled that order and didn't have to pay for it.
For the ATV/Buggies, it starts with an obstacle test course. Some of our group with ATVs didn't feel safe driving after finishing the test course, so they joined us in the buggies.
The ride was fun. We drove through trees and mud, and even saw cows walking between our cars.
During the ride, I accidentally scratched one of the buggies by hitting a door along the course.
At the end of the tour, our guide took us to the "mechanics," who told me I had to pay $1,000 for the scratches because it was a new buggy. I did not choose to go on a new buggy, and the scratches looked like they could come right off with proper cleaning. It felt like they just wanted to get something out of me.
After some back-and-forth with my friends, the manager reduced the charge to $400. The buggy looked perfectly fine and was drivable, as they even gave it to someone else afterward.
Weeks later, in June 2024, my friend went on the same ATV tour, flipped the vehicle, and bent it. They charged him $250. Yes, they are different vehicles, but $400 for scratches vs. $250 for a bent frame is wild. Since they originally wanted to charge me $1,000, I suspect they do this to anyone who causes the slightest damage to their vehicles, which I dislike).
I recommend this place, but be careful with their equipment. Take photos before you ride their vehicles just in case they try to say an old scratch was...
Read moreWe came to Costa Rica to celebrate our friend’s birthday. This place was AWESOME and made our trip so much more memorable. We were a big group (11 people) so I was initially concerned that the activities would feel rushed / disorganized, but that was not the case!
We did zip lining and the 3 hour ATV tour. It was my first time for both activities so I was very nervous. However, our guides put me at ease. For the zip lining, we received very clear direction on how to properly hit the lines (and even got to try going upside down)! I could tell the guides were very experienced and total experts. They also knew how to have fun. There were 10 lines in total, each with varying views, speeds, and lengths - there’s a break between the 6th and 7th line for water, and to catch your breath. 😎
We had a great lunch, buffet style, in between the zip lining and ATV tour. Food was great, and included a little piece of coconut flan.
The ATV course was a very rugged terrain and might be better suited for someone who has ATV’d before. Don’t wear any clothing you care about. Highly recommend a piece of cloth covering your mouth, nose, and neck - they have some in the gift shop. The helmets have visors which is great for protecting your eyes.
You start off on a dirt test road to practice and then head into the trees. The ride is mostly shaded and includes a stop at two waterfalls: one shallow and one better suited for swimming. The guides were supportive and made sure we were safe and on the right path with ATVs spread at the front, middle, and back of our group.
This is definitely not for the faint of heart, but was an incredibly fun experience....
