It is a mix of great and bad. Such a shame. The marketing for this place is non existent, apart from FB page they have nothing to let people know they even exist. Not a single road sign to let one know you are driving the right direction to get there. The last 2km you might get an impression you got lost. But the google app was luckily correct and we got there. The grounds are very well kept, it looks really nice, I was there with 2 teenage girls, who were really excited as we entered the park. We bought tickets with lunch. Girls really enjoyed the chicken fingers with fries, I loved the fact I was allowed to sit in the restaurant without paying the entrance fee. From there you see most of the waterpark so it felt safe to let girls (both 13) to let go have fun by themselves. However, the excitement seized after only 1 short hour. The girls returned with really sad faces saying that half of the big slides were closed, the pavements to walk around the park not in the best shape and they hurt their feet couple of times just by walking. What ruined their fun most was the extreme use of chlorine in the pool waters and the closed slides (the big ones). All in all it seems that families with kids under 10 would have an amazing day out here but for older kids having only 4 slides open out of 12 (if girls got the count right) was disappointing. With proper marketing this place would get a lot more visitors (the park was almost empty and most of the people were locals which is great, only shows that familes visiting CR or living here as expats do not even know this...
Read moreI stayed overnight in the park villa with my family. The villa was disgusting. It is a new villa with the potential to be fabulous but it was just so so dirty. It was horrible to have to sleep there. The pillows were stained moldy cushions of old sofas stuffed into pillow cases. The sheets were not changed. There was a thumbtack in one of the beds. We used our own clothes for pillows. The toilet and sink area was not wiped since the last guests. The towels were filthy! We were the only people in the park over night. We felt very unsafe as all staff went home. The park itself is a lovely little park for kids but it is a bit dirty and needs a bit of maintenance. Avoid staying overnight at...
Read moreWe came on a weekday and basically had the place to ourselves. On the drive in you will think you’re in the wrong spot. You have to drive through a shallow river, it’s the most random thing in the middle of the jungle but we loved it. We have been in Jaco for 3 weeks and this is the best kid friendly thing we have done after our tours. It was an hour drive from Jaco but so so worth it. Lots is under construction and closed but as we had the place to ourselves we did not care. The big water slides are not for the faint of heart. They are fast and hard. But the smaller ones were perfect for my 6 and 9 year old. There is also a good toddler pirate ship with...
