We were very grateful that Alex was able to give us a tour of SAN Lucas Island, as there were none available from west side of the gulf. We had a private tour which was great as we snorkelled and fished along the way. The Prison has much history and he shared some interesting facts. We had no idea there was at one time a school, bullring and small hobby farm to provide food . We also walked along the Nature trails and saw deer, howler monkeys , and various other wildlife in their natural habitat. Martin was a great boat captain and we caught mackerel on the way back. Alexander ist ein sehr vertrauenswürdiger Guide, und das sage ich als Alleinreisende aus Deutschland:

Ich habe eine Tour in der Paquera Bay zum Sichten der Biolumineszens gebucht. Alex war super zuverlässig über WhatsApp erreichbar, hat die Tour sogar mit mir alleine gemacht, weil andere abgesagt hatten - das finde ich echt toll. Andere Dienstleister würden einfach absagen, weil es nicht wirtschaftlich ist.

Ich habe echt gemerkt Alex ist vor allem interessiert, dass du eine tolle Erfahrung hast: Er hat sich richtig Mühe gegeben mir die Biolumineszens zu zeigen, hat Wasser mitgebracht, hat Fotos von mir gemacht (als es noch hell war) und mir sogar eine kleine wasserdichte Handyhülle mitgebracht, dass ich mein Handy verstauen kann und trotzdem Fotos machen kann. Tolle Kundenorientierung!!

Konnte mein Gepäck sicher im Firmenwagen verstauen. Und Alex hat mich rechtzeitig zurück gebracht für meine Ferry von Paquera nach Puntarenas.

Du wunderst dich vielleicht warum keiner in den Bewertungen Bilder der Biolumineszens macht und postet? (zumindest war das bei mir so)

Zum einen ist es sehr dunkel und nass. Und die Natur ist auch unkontrollierbar, an manchen Tagen (dunklere Tage) ist die Biolumineszens besser sichtbar als an anderen. Es kommt auch drauf an wie sehr es geregnet hat und die Energie schon gelöst ist. (Lernst du alles, wenn du mit Alex unterwegs bist).

Ich habe wie beim Sternenhimmel viele dezente leuchtende Partikel im Wasser gesehen, die teilweise auch kurz an mir geklebt haben. Ich empfehle, lass dich von Alex beraten wann die beste Zeit ist um möglichst viel Biolumineszens sichten zu können!

Very beautiful experience all the way round. Alexander personality came to our location and picked up us to our destination. The tour was beautiful, Chato was bilingüal very respectful and kind. We enjoyed so much looking and the spider monkeys 🐒 , he took us to different areas plus the tortuga Island 🏝 😀. It was fun we had a Cocoloco drink 🍸. Then the tour also included food. We all choose fish 🐟 😉, it is a nice fresh tuna. Very delicious and nicely cook. I do recommend to anyone who wants to have a great jungle and beach ⛱️...
