Esterillos Beach — Attraction in Puntarenas Province

Beautiful beach that was not crowded. Very comfortable atmosphere, with lots of friendly locals. Loved the spontaneous soccer games, helpful and informative lifeguards, and watching birds and lizards in the palm grove.

We spent a week in an Airbnb on this beach, and grew to love our sunrise and sunset walks. We also got to watch fishermen cleaning their catches for the day, and help with setting newly hatched sea turtles free. I hope we can...

We got an Airbnb off this beach and loved it. Mostly a local beach, you won't find many other tourists. On the weekend it gets a lil busy (locals come here for weekend getaways), but other days it was empty. If you're looking for a less touristy destination, come here! Also within easy driving distance to Queppos, Bejuca, and Jaco.

Go to Almendros and Soda Margarita right in town for some good...

Excellent beach with endless sights if the coast, black sand beaches, and world renowned waves for the surfers out there. The Lady in the Sea on the point is an incredible sight with tide pools to bask in during low tide. There are a couple small sodas along the beach that always have customers.
