"A marvelous encounter with mother nature" I heard a lot about this garden so I was curious about visiting it. It is part of a project that belongs to a German family 👪. When I heard that I became more curious, since I know that German citizens love nature. The garden has several different areas where you can walk throughout well signed paths. You can see gigantic plants such as "Tabacon" which has humongous leaves. It is also loaded with hundreds if not thousands of tropical species. There is a huge amount of colorful plants 🪴. On each zone you can find small benches to rest if you feel tired. There is also a playing zone for kids, a wedding zone which is super pretty and one of my favorite one was the cactus zone🌵 ( I believe it is not the real name but reminded me of Arizona) You just need a smart phone or a camera plus your imagination to start taking gorgeous pictures 📸 of your loved ones on this little paradise. Bamboo, ponds, a river, huge trees, bridges, colorful chinas you name it. I was also impressed to see several areas where people could wash their hands. Entrance fee is 3.500 colones around $5.50 each.

I loved this place, you can really make a day out of it, if you take your time to walk peacefully through the verdant jungle-like grounds, and onto the perfectly manicured gardens adored with a small lake, water falls, and blossoming plants. You’ll find a wide variety of beautiful flowers and exotic plants on full display. Gorgeous, relaxing, vibrant, and curious. I highly recommend for either a quiet romantic walk or a nice family outing with older kids, as it may be hard with a stroller due to some stairs (optional to teach viewing platforms), and a few gravel paths. Most of the grounds are either paved or cobblestone. There is a small cafe inside and parking right outside the front entrance. I recommend going during the week as there was virtually no one there when I went at 2 pm on a Monday.

English: beautiful place, well build trials with incredible views, lots of nature and lots of colors thanks to the many type of flowers, great place for photography, there are designated picnic areas in case you want to bring food, there is parking lot too and at the entrance you can buy flowers and plants of you want, great for walking, picnic or a family day out, pets are allowed!

During the rainy season- We visited in October, we had the gardens all to ourselves. I am sure that in other seasons the gardens are much more beautiful however, we really enjoyed our visit. Expect to spend about 2 hours here and there are many photo opportunities. The entrance can be a bit confusing but trust Google maps. Enter through the gate that probably will be closed and ask someone nearby for directions. There is a yellow line to follow to the office for the gardens. If you go by car, they should open the larger gate for you and there is parking next to the gardens office.

It was a nice walk around the park, we enjoyed seeing the river stream. It is very hot and humid but there are some shaded areas. We went all the way around and into the greenhouses and to be honest it was not very spectacular. The land could be more maintained and the trails should be more groomed. The best part about the experience was eating the casado up at the cafe. The price to food ratio was very fair and we enjoyed how fresh everything was, including the drinks that we were provided as part of our meal and even had a complimentary dessert with the executive chef special.
