We took a short boat tour around this lake and it did not disappoint. There's lots of beautiful birds to watch and a lot of interesting history to learn about the lake itself. The best part of course is all the spectacular views you can get from going around the perimeter of the lake. From views of the Volcano, to the homes of the foothills, to birds of prey hunting in coves. Definitely a spot...

This might win for the most adventurous windsurfing spot since Lake Arenal butts up against the very much active Arenal Volcano. The 24 mile-long freshwater lake provides views of the volcano which regularly shoots ash and fire into the sky. Cool water and warm air make for extreme conditions and is best suited for expert...

Crossing my his lake from La fortuna to Monteverde was an absolute highlight of our trip. We used Swiss Travels to book our ferry and it was a breeze. Stopped along the way to see nature and animals. Love the lake, the breeze, and the smells.

Awesome place for relaxing, great fishing trips, beautiful sunsets, you can take a boat and do tours around like kayaks, SUP, pedal boarding, And if you get to Tilaran area , wind surfing, wake boarding.
