World Travel Blog #4: Šćitarjev, Croatia: My first Croatian #archeological visit to the town of #Šćitarjevo. Here these ruins date back to 1st century AD. I stood in what used to be a settlement between the 1st century AD throughout 3rd century AD. The fall of the 4th century Roman Empire led to a Great Migration of non-Romans into this settlement with intent to invade and destroy it which they did.
