Medvednica Mountain Trail 9 — Attraction in City of Zagreb

In the beginning the route seemed somewhat monotonous and underwhelming. However it got more and more scenic. We started from trail 9 but via the mountain lodge restaurant (which was closed on a Monday) and the Medvednica Castle (also closed) we ended the trail by coming out of the forest near the šestinski lagvić restaurant. It took us about 4 hours to walk, have a peaceful lunch on a bench along the way, admire the castle from the outside and make some small detours along th e waym all in all, the climb was relatively challenging which I found absolutely refreshing! Hiking trail 9 (length 3.9 km) leads from Mikulic (northern part Kustosija / Crnomerac) up the mountain lodge "Risnjak" and Pongraceve hut. The trail is a good part of Mikulic up rocky and wide. From table Medvednica to Risnjak has about 1 hour walk.

Marked trail 9 in a very short distance, and maybe a little more demanding routes, accompanied by parallel other smaller unmarked paths that go from the other side of hills or on top of the hills, and from them is better seen the other (east) side of the Kulmerovoj Gori...

This trail is the best for hikers and runners that approach top of the mountain (Sljeme) from Zagreb. It is not too steep, it has rewarding beautiful view to the city from above, places to rest and eat/drink (Risnjak and Grafičar mounting hut, Tomislavov dom hotel).
