Guslica — Attraction in Grad Čabar

We reached Guslica from Snjeznik mountain. It's a really nice trail with beautiful views. You could make a circle and return to Platak just seetp down through the forest and reach the road. The summit was a military base, you can see remains of it. Now there's a facility/building prepared for police, national park and mountain club - building site still in progress. Really nice view from the summit. Here is also route for migrants towards Slovenia and further to Europe - don't be surprised to meet them....

Easy to recognize from other peaks in the area thanks to a large communication tower and the altitude of 1490 m.a.s.l. In former Yugoslavia the place worked as a radar and telecommunication centre with bunkers. The remnants of this can be seen on the summit. Today there is a new-looking hut ran by the police. The place is Checkpoint No. 26 of Goranski planinarski put, roughly 2.7 kilometers away from Snježnik (Checkpoint #27). In winter the ambience gets a real alpine look. The panoramic view is...

Eigentlich war ich zu dieser Wanderung unterwegs um die Einsamkeit und die Natur zu genießen. Scheinbar war Volkswandertag. Oben erwartet Euch ein abgeschottetes Gebäude und Bänke zum Ausruhen. Tolle Fotomotive der Küste und des Hinterlandes. Vorteil wäre eine klare Sicht. Man kommt in das Bunkersystem. Allerdings nicht durch die Tunnel sondern durch die Zuluftschächte für die Generatoren.
