Medjame — Attraction in Grad Čazma

This is an absolute gem, hidden in the countryside. There are no special signs, no tickets, no fanfare or any kind - it is just there. A real swamp biome, and you are enabled to float through it using a elaborate network of wooden bridges in two levels. Some wooden platforms on ground level don’t even have fences and you can feel like the part of the nature but without being heavily invested in the experienced - the only other way to do this is to have rubber boots up to the neck and go to swamp areas or in a boat both of which are complicated and in effect interact with environment in a way that could damage it potentially. Great place for all nature lovers, especially swamp lovers. Nice and wide elevated walkway under the treetops that guides you through all the hidden beauties of this little swamp jewel. And it's completely free!

It took us almost 2h to walk all of it, but we rested and looked at every frog, turtle and duck carefully and took photographs so it's more likely you will spend around 1h there depending...

Odličan primjer kako se zapuštena baruština može urediti u atraktivan prostor. Sa šljunčanog parkirališta uz cestu D26, na izlazu iz Čazme prema Dubravi, kolovoz po nasipu dovest će vas nakon kojih 300 m do Medjama, manjeg barskog područja isprepletenog sa šumom, kroz koji je izveden drveni put u cijelosti na mostovima iznad bara, pod krošnjama netaknute poplavne šume, u obliku osmice, u dužini gotovo 2 km. Uz put su postavljene informativne ploče koje vas upućuju u biljni i životinjski svijet ovakvih staništa. U odnosu na okolinu ulaz u Medjame je ulaz u sasvim drugi svijet, izoliran, u određenoj mjeri divlji i opuštajući. Ulaz je besplatan. Nažalost, i u ovom kutku zaštićene prirode naći ćemo odbačene boce i konzerve koje za sobom ostavljaju neodgovorni i nerazumni posjetitelji. U neposrednoj blizini nema ugostiteljskih sadržaja. Promet uskim mostom preko Česme, između parkirališta i Čazme, reguliran je semaforima koji pale zeleno kad senzori registriraju dolazak vozila.
