Kozlović Winery — Attraction in Grad Buje

We have been big fans of Kozlovic wines for the last 6-7 years (it was introduced to us in the restaurant “Dida” in Crikvenica- we try to enjoy Kozlovic all over the world - I recently ordered also in New York. We have their glasses, T-shirts, etc. and my wife exclusively drinks Kozlovic Muskat to the point where she does not drink wine if it’s not Kozlovic. The estate is amazing - wonderful location and ample parking space. The reason why we rate this with 2* is because of very poor customer service - they don’t feel you welcome and you have to wait an excessive amount of time to get their attention (20min), so I usually end up going for our order myself inside. We are still fans of the wine, and every time we visit Istria (2-3 times per year) we come here to buy stocks (10+ bottles), but we don’t stay eg we go to nearby Kabola winery, another amazing location, and very friendly and...

Although winery is looking great, we faced very poor service level. When you approach winery its stated you need to wait to be approached. 5 employees were passing by for 10mins without looking at us. Came without reservation and expectation of beeing seated (which is ok), but when asked to be seated there were no free space althoug we saw people leaving. This exact free space was offered to people right after us although we heard they had no reservation as well. Can you imagine how we felt? Then we came inside, spent 120e on wines and when we asked for extra bag as some wines are for present-we faced arguments that they are lacking ones sothey cannot give us. Ok, next question was to buy some glasses- they didnt have.

Overal feeling was that we werent treated with bare minimum respect like we felt anywhere else in Istria. Very bad...

This beautifully located winery near the Slovenian border is a must visit. It's situated across from an old castle and is in a modern facility with outstanding views. It's meant to be enjoyed outside for sure. The day we went was a little rainy so we had to sit inside. Friendly staff. Good English. We just went for a tasting, no tour. Tried 2 wines which were good. Parking on site. Reservations recommended as it's a very popular place. Highly recommend visiting. Can of course buy...
