Absolutely stunning beach! The beach is clean, made of pebble stones, the water is crystal clear, transparent, swimming in such an amazing place (you are looking at the town of Lubenice on the cliff is simpli breathtaking)!

It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the town of Lubenice after leaving the main road. The path is narrow, surrounded with stone wall. So pay attention. After entering the town a big parking is on the left and the beginning of the hiking trail (that is - path to the beach) is located near the coffee bar.

The signs along the path are very well marked. It takes approximately 1 h downhill and 1.5 h uphill. The upper part of the bath is throughout the woods so if has a lot of shade but some parts are a bit slippery (stones) so hiking shoes or sneakers are obligatory!!

A wonderful experience on Cres. I visited on a cloudy day, the water was freezing but the experience is...

Disaster. When we arrived at the beach, via the hiking trail from Lubenice, there were 13 boats parked in the tiny bay, two of them were tourist excursion boats, 80+ people, cramped onto a tiny 50x10m beach. Hardly any space for swimming with all the boats hovering 5m from the beach. Overly over-commercialized beach. After many days of nice weather, one would expect at least warm watter, go figure - the water, so cold, you can't even freshen off, hence all the screaming children everywhere around, parents forcing them into the cold water. Worst beach experience on the island, maybe ever. Cres and Losinj island have so many better beaches to offer, can't help, but feel dissapointed, seeing this. Do...

Loved it!! The hike to the beach isn't very steep at the beginning but later on there are some parts where it is pretty steep and can get slippery. My gf and I wore regular sneakers and we found that to be sufficient (hiking shoes are not mandatory, and we some some folks in flip flops). It took us 45min in both directions, and for us it was probably easier to go up. As for the directions, the signs are always visible and are easy to follow. At the beach, there's shade in the boundary areas but it's limited, so have that in mind. Also, bring plenty of water and enough food since there are no shops or bars down there. You can refil your water in the town of Lubenice, once...

If you're into hiking then this is the beach for you. Better known as Lubenice beach, this trail starts at Lubenice Parking. First part of the trail in through the woods, meaning you can enjoy in a shade. After 10-15 min trail forks and you'll choose right for Lubenice beach (i.e. St. Ivan Beach); if you continue straight trail will take you to Blue Cove beach. I wouldn't recommend flip flops for this exercise. Beach itself offers several secluded, shady spots. We were the only ones at the beach so I'm not sure how it looks like when crowded, with boats and other hikers. There is one abandoned shelter and a couple benches, probably remains of what once was a bar.
