This review should be a 3 star review, if we would talk solely about the museum exhibition, so let's start with that. The exhibition is average to put it kindly. The most impressive was the renovated church (Orthodox churches are somehow exotic to me, so this is why I liked it). I believe if you are a die-hard Tesla fan you will not learn anything new. The small museum exhibition is full of text that I am sure you are not going to read, while you are there with a crowd of other visitors. There are few inventions on the second floor, but again, there could be more. The presentation of one of the inventions is taking place every two hours…while the small museum will take you about 30 minutes to look around. So most people will not wait for an hour and a half for the 5 minute presentation. There is also a film about Nikola Tesla, that I can't comment on since I haven't watched it. The reason why this Memorial Center is getting a 1 star review from me is that the museum does not allow dogs on its premises. We are not talking about dogs inside the museum buildings (even though this became normal in most of the European museums). We are talking about the lawn in front of the museum. Not a french garden..a LAWN! We were on a road trip around Lika and we decided to stop at this Memorial center on our way home. Our small dog was with us. We wanted to take turns visiting the buildings, while the other waited outside with our dog. The girl at the entrance said that dogs are only allowed in the parking lot. Which has a few benches, but no shade. When we asked her if there is a cafe where one could sit with the dog while the other is visiting the museum, she said there is a cafe inside the museum complex…where the dog is not allowed. She even suggested we tie the dog by the bench on the parking lot and leave it there while we are at the museum. This was not an option. Such a disappointment and lack of empathy. Nikola Tesla was one of the most progressive minds in the history of mankind and it is a shame that such narrow minded people are in charge...

A truly spiritual and inspiring place we visited on our way back to Zagreb. The museum shows Nikola Tesla’s genius in a way that speaks to both kids and adults. 👨👩👧👦✨
⚡ The kids loved the interactive experiments – wireless energy lighting up bulbs, magnets, and fun demonstrations. 📽️ The short film about Tesla’s life was simple but powerful, helping everyone connect with his story. 📝 My wife and I enjoyed the “drawer of thoughts”, a creative space to reflect on the brilliance of his mind.
But for the little ones, the best part was definitely the playground just outside – swings, climbing frames, and the famous “small egg” rotating carousel 🥚🎠. I hopped on, hit the resonate spin speed, and nearly launched myself into a black hole 😅🌀.
All together, it’s the perfect mix of science, history, and play, and a place that can inspire kids to dream of becoming scientists and engineers themselves. 🌟
