Can you believe this place is REAL?! 😍 The Blue Cave is a natural phenomenon caused when sunlight hits the water under the cave at VERY SPECIFIC times in a day, and we were lucky enough to see this 😍 We booked our tour through @bluecavetravel and they took care of everything, so we caught the light at the BEST time! Don’t miss this on your trip to Croatia!!! #croatia #bluecave #bluegrotto #visitcroatia #croatiatravel #splitcroatia #bisevo #croatiatourism #croatiatrip #europe2022 #explorepage #trendingaudio #travelreels #travelreel #europeansummer

This BLUE is ALL NATURAL 🤩💙 The Blue Grotto in Croatia is one of three famous blue caves in the world - the other two being in Capri in Italy, and Greece. 💙 This can be done as a day trip from Split or Trogir. 💙 You’ll be taken to Biševo, where you’ll have to transfer into a smaller boat to enter the cave. 💙 The guides are super helpful and tell you all about it. 💙 You’ll only spend 5-7 minutes in the cave (it’s famous, and for a reason!) but it’s WORTH IT! I remember @kritika_goel and me debating whether or not we wanted to do this because we knew it would be crowded and we’d get very less time inside, but this is one of those places where time seems to stretch, and you’re left in a state of wonder. Trust me, it’s worth it. 💙 We went on this tour with @bluecavetravel 💙 Cost: €100 Save this reel and add this to your bucket list!! #croatiatravel #croatiatrip #splitcroatia #bluegrotto #bluecave #bluecaves #croatiatourism #visitcroatia

Modra Špilja is truly one of nature’s masterpieces the electric-blue glow inside the cave is surreal and unforgettable. The experience of entering by small boat through the narrow entrance and seeing the water illuminated from beneath is nothing short of magical. However, it’s worth noting that you can’t buy tickets in advance and on busy summer days, that means long wait times. We waited about an hour even though we arrived relatively early. The whole process is highly dependent on sea conditions too, so be prepared for possible delays or cancellations. That said, the local guides are well organised and friendly. Once you’re inside the cave, you’ll understand why it’s worth the wait. Plan a full morning and bring water, a hat and some patience the payoff is stunning.

The cave was visited as a part of the whole day boat tour from Hvar. As a result it is already included in program, thus you will still spend time by going at least to the island (the tickets to the cave a bought separately). Excursion itself is very short, the cave can be considered overcrowded. It looks nice, but considering the price I would recommend serious consideration upon the necessity of its visit.

P.S. the prices at the local bar are horrifying, I've never payed so much for the...
