The Gacka museum is about as you would expect from a museum of a city the size of Otočac. However, the audio guide, which I don't usually find often enough in museums, and the very helpful young lady who took me through the exhibit, made the visit a little better than expected.
There were also a few more surprises. Let's say that the Gacka river is mentioned only in the context of the history and geography of the city of Otočac, although the museum is called the Gacka museum, not the Otočac museum.

Read morePrekrasna zgrada muzeja obnovljena je u autentičnom stilu. Muzej ima razne zbirke: predmete ilirskih plemena, slike lokalnih i gostujućih umjetnika, izložbu o Domovinskom ratu, te zavičajnu zbirku. Sve su izložbe prezentirane na izvoran način. Ravnateljica muzeja izuzetno je ljubazna i o svemu informira posjetitelje. Uz ulaznicu se dobije brošura. Jedina je zamjerka (prvi put u životu ovo kažem) da je cijena ulaznice premala. Većina ljudi nema novca za više od osnovnog, ali ovo svakako vrijedi više od 10 kuna....
