Cisterna Beach, located near Rovinj in Croatia, is a picturesque destination known for its clear waters and natural beauty. The beach is primarily composed of pebbles, with some rocky and stone slab areas, offering a variety of spots for sunbathing and swimming. The sea bathing water quality is excellent, making it a popular choice for visitors seeking a refreshing dip. The surrounding area is characterized by lush greenery and Mediterranean vegetation, providing a tranquil environment for relaxation. While the beach is relatively secluded, it is accessible by foot or boat, adding to its charm. For those interested in exploring the local area, the nearby town of Rovinj offers a rich cultural experience with its historic old town, vibrant markets, and a variety of dining options. Overall, Cisterna Beach is an ideal spot for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat amidst natural beauty, with the added benefit of being close to the cultural attractions of Rovinj.

Cisterna beach! Parking is up to you. There is no private parking, but plenty of places to leave your car. Getting to the beach is ok, a few km of pebble roads that are no issue if you drive slow. Part of the beach has the access road in the back (when cars pass by and if the wind blows towards the sea, some of the dust might end up on the beach) and the sea in the front. A the other part of the beach has a pine forest in the back but access to the water can be tricky. There is a bar on the beach. Very friendly staff. You can have drinks and food. Really nice. We enjoyed the beach very much. I recommend visiting this beach. It is a different experience than the other more glamorous beaches. Depends what you are after :) Hope you like it.

Good secluded beach with clear, clean waters and a hidden gem. It is a big stone beach, not a pebble beach, so lying around is not easy and navigating in the water with massive stones can be tricky. It is a dog friendly beach, so your four legged friend can go for dip. Nice views. There is ample space to park and a beach bar for refreshments. Excellent location to watch the sun go down. Three stars as it is tough going to walk on or along or in the water. Elderly people risk a fall.

big pebbles beach (10 to 15cm) all around, and about 15m from seaside toward open sea are the big pebbles as well. little bit nasty entering but reward is cozy sand and clean warm sea water. all day sun is shining to beach line (no shade all over beach) so sun shade (umbrella?) is obligatory if you have sensitive skin or children. small beach bar can be helpful in case of dehydration, but less expensive solution is portable fridge. beach is little bit hard to find and because of that fact, less crowded. be warn: no shower with tap water and please pick all you garbage from beach since it is hard to reach for garbage disposal service. kind local people could point you in right direction how to find narrow and dusty road if you ask them. enjoy and let other enjoy in almost...
