Rudnik sveta Barbara — Attraction in Grad Samobor

Great guided walking tour through old copper and iron ore mine. Copper ore part is deep and not possible to do sightseeing (no air circulation in that part) so only part where iron ore was mined is accessible to tourists. It is about 380m of walk through access tunnel and mine with guide that has all needed info about mine and mining history. Short walk that with guide and all of his talks lasts less than 30 minutes. Rude (place where this mine is situated) is just 10 minutes drive from Samobor and some 35-40 minutes from Zagreb so it is just a short trip away. When you are in Rude you can try cake called Rudarska greblica - cake that miners used to take with them for meal in mines. Very nice mine, reopened and run by volunteers from the local folk music group. They really kept the spirit of the mine alive, and tell the story of the mining history of the village of Rude. Vrlo zanimljivo iskustvo podzemne šetnje. :-) Rudnik je lijep, šaren i cakli se od različitih ruda i kristala, čuje se kapanje vode, a ima i izvor sumpora, pa su tijekom obilaska aktivirana različita osjetila. Skoro sve se može opipati (osim suhozida!), a i vodič spremno uskače i potiče da se komadić unutrašnjosti ponese sa sobom kao originalan suvenir. Budući da nas je bilo dvoje, bilo je to poput privatnog obilaska, i dulje je trajalo (oko sat vremena), što je dodatni plus. Stoga preporučujem posjet za nekog hladnijeg vremena kada je manje turista. Postoji i mala suvenirnica. :-) Vodič Luka djeluje stručno, opušteno, zanimljivo oblikuje priču, koristi humor, drži pažnju i potiče aktivno uključivanje. Djeluje da voli to što radi. Dojma sam da često govori djeci i da je narativ prilagođen mlađoj publici, jer ponekad ima komentare i doskočice koje nisu primjerene odraslima, pa eto, skrećem pažnju na to. Ugodan izlet i mjesto...
