Vratnik

Vratnik is a hilly residential district known for the remnants of its 18th-century fortifications. Two towers, Širokac and Ploča, now house a museum devoted to the first president of Bosnia & Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović. Traditional furniture and costumes are on show in the Saburina House, an Ottoman-era home of a merchant family. Nearby, the clifftop ruins of the White Fortress afford sweeping views of Sarajevo.
