I fall in love to Kašjuni plaža start of June 2021 .... that time I was first time in Split. Alone. One young Croatian man takes me there by his car .... and show me the normal beach and even the nudist beach (which I prefere to goes in Czech Republic -- has so many near lakes). That time I stay in wonderful Hostel Dvor. I highly recommend that hostel, even is cost. I back to Split in June 2023 alone again (alone I can enjoy it better). Stay in Hostel Oasis and fall in love to Tri Gracie Café Bar and Bobis on bus stop Bolnica Firule 2. And also good woman in Tisak on this bus stop. And in June I buy cigarillos Hangelsgold just for 2,26€ there! Pocket of 5 cigarillos. And Davidoff Gold just 4,65€. So good price for me! In Prague was cigarillos or cigarette much more costs. In August it's more. Hangelsgold almost 2,4€. But still cheap for me! Only cheaper things in Split, Croatia was espresso, kava s mliekom velika and cigarillos. They are so cheaper than in Prague.
I was on Kašjuni plaža 7.,8.,11. June 2023 (because of bad weather 5,6, 9, 10.June) and 6.,7.,8., 9. August. 10.and 11.8.I stay in Stobreč-Split. And I love it that place. Stobreč was so beautiful small city or village (maybe suburb of Split). And also all Split! And I'm not topically Czech which every year since childhood come to the Croatian country and I even hate it before (before June 2021, when I saw Split first time). But Split in June 2021 helped me to cry out for my dad (he died 11. March 2021 for covid) and gives me reason to start breathing again, means freedom breathing. I love that so amazing beautiful City and ppl inside. And since first moment in June 2021 I feel like I comeback home, like an dejavu....you knows you feeling somewhere so home and you never be there before. Dioklecian Palace and all around gives me that feelings....

Read moreA very nice beach in the beautiful Marian Park. Beach is men maid, it is made of small pebbles. The same type of gravel is when you enter the water. The sea is beautiful and clean, but it becomes quite deep after only a few meters, so it is not interesting for snorkeling. The bay where the beach is located is very beautiful and offers a wonderful view of Marian. The main disadvantage of the beach is that it is overcrowded with visitors and it is difficult to find a free place. And if you find a seat, you will be very close to other visitors. There are two beach bars on the beach, they are expensive and overbooked. You will wait a long time for the waiter, the food is nothing special and you will wait a long time to buy a drink at the bar. Bring your own drinks and food. In a beach bar you can rent sunbeds for €23 per person, but they are also difficult to get to, even though they are expensive. There are several changing cabins and showers on the beach. there are two parking lots and both are free of charge. The main parking lot is located right behind the beach and the beach is occupied by vehicles. The second parking lot is 200 meters uphill and has more space. In season, both parking lots are full and you can only find a place if you arrive early. A taxi from the center to the beach costs 25-40€ even though it is a 5 minute ride. You can also get to the beach by "panorama" train, which costs €10 per person. The bus ride from the center to the beach will cost you €1.20, but you have to expect crowds, especially in the evening on...
Read moreThe water was clean during our visit in early September 2023. I researched the water quality and blue flag status of Split's beaches because in the UK, where I come from, our privatised water companies dump raw/untreated sewage into lakes, rivers, and the ocean. Kasjuni Beach may not have blue flag status, but the area we visited, farther along the cliff wall, was clean during our visit.
Wear water shoes when coming here. You can get affordable ones from a popular online retailer.
I recommend bringing your own drinks and snacks because the bars/restaurants charge obscene amounts for bottled water. The staff told me that the minimum threshold to pay by card is 70 EUR.
You can take the number 12 bus from Split's city centre to get here. The buses operate approximately every hour. It's also possible to take a taxi here.
The sunbeds are nonsensically priced at 35 EUR per bed for "all day" access. It would be better to pay for sunbeds per hour, as most people are likely to spend up to a few hours at the beach instead of a whole day.
We were disappointed to see dumped rubbish like alcohol bottles and boxes behind the low wall of a pathway. Some people must need help understanding the concepts of etiquette and leaving things how you would want...
