Kabal is not only cape with lighthouse but name for whole big peninsula between Stari grad bay and sea channel dividing islands Hvar and Brac. You can reach it by long walk if you are up to it from Stari grad (literally translated as Old town as it was founded by Greek settlers in 384 BC and is very old indeed). Road is good for bike or even 4WD car but it is not paved. Along the way there are many bays and beaches with summer houses and even few restaurants working only during summer of course. When you reach last beach go left and you will reach tunnels where in Yugoslavia navy had placed canons. Now it is empty and you can reach beautiful small lighthouse down by the sea with excellent views. And there are many bats in the tunnels. Do take lamp and there is also one elevated part with many stairs not worth of climbing as you can see for yourself of course.
