We kayaked out here and tied up near the entrance. They had 2 staff members in a little boat collecting payment - it's 70 kuna per person to go in, cash only of course. There's a little rope stretching across the entrance so boats can't go in (kayaks/canoes okay bc they don't have a motor).
You're allowed to hang out for around 30 minutes, and once our time was up they shooed us out. 😒
You're also no longer allowed to jump off the top? There are signs everywhere and the staff members were making sure people followed the rules. I had no interest in that, but I read a lot of reviews saying you could... and you definitely can't.
In all, it was fine. Just a cave - there's no natural light making it look green or anything. It's just a cave. But it's cool to swim in and out of if you've never done it before. And boats are no longer allowed in which is nice.
There are also not a lot of people here which is great. We came on a Friday in July at...
Read moreBest place to visit when in croatia!! ❤️❤️ We landed in split and approached Toto travels and took package for 5 island excursions: one of them was Blue cave If you want Perfect weather with less crowd go in last week of September. We have had the best experience ever because you need to travel from speed boat starting from split to blue cave it takes approx. 1hr 20 min (speed boat has good loud rock music😎🤟🏻) This blue cave was discovered some 200 years back. Its worth seeing it in the morning because the beneath cave opening is on east side all the reflection of the sunlight from the white sand lits up the cave and its worth the money. They dont allow swimming there because few years back they have just banned swimming due to overcrowding. Tickets are all inclusive if you buy excursions from some travels company. Even at some places drinks and foods are...
Read moreIf you are heading here you'll most likely be doing a blue & green cave tour. Bare in mind, you can no longer swim in the blue caves, so if you want your cave swimming fix, this will likely be your only choice, but you'll pay 70kn (around 10 euros) for the privilege. Also the cave is mostly dark, only a single shard of light flooding through the ceiling, the size of a football illuminates a tiny area of fluorescent green, the rest is just standard cave. It's fun to swim through, but don't expect a magical emerald green flowing grotto or...
