very crowded today (sat) even though we got there around noon. (sun bathing before noon is as much of a non-sense for us as eating before 8 pm! 😝😝) especially with many wooden lounge chairs, it was impossible for find a spot where you did not have to look at someone's back or having someone's feet over your head. for the most part everyone was quiet and soft spoken till a few french speaking groups came - screaming toddlers, vaping millennia and middle aged men, and breast baring middle aged women. with a very small opening, the beach is not pebble but rocky. (pebbles are round and smooth, rocks or gravels are sharp - you really do not want to slip on them or even touch them with your hands without extra care.) water was beautiful but not the most i have swam in croatia. maybe because everyone tells everyone else to come to this beach, it is no longer relaxing and calming. maybe because we are spoiled by other truly calm, relaxing swimming spots, and that i had the same expectations based on other reviews, at the end of day, it was over...

The beach is easily accessible via water taxi from Hvar which costs 10€ per round trip. The water taxi does not drop you off on the beach, but in nearby bay and then there is a short 5 minute walk.

The beach has very beautiful clear water and is perfect for swimming. It also does not have a steep entrace into the sea, so it does not get deep right away.

It is very crowded in the season and very incomfortable to sit directly on the towel. There simply is not much space to match the high number of visitors so it will feel very packed.

There is some natural shade from trees and it is impossible to set a parasol due to the pebbles.

Alteratively, sun loungers are available to rent for 15€ a day which are more comfortable, though availability is...

Great experience at this beach. We rented a beach bed for 350 kuna and it was well worth the peace and quiet. The part of the beach with loungers at 50 kuna each became very crowded and did not look peaceful at all. You'll need water shoes for this spot as there are big rocks with holes and edges that can hurt, and they are also quite slippery. The washroom for use up the stairs from the restaurant takes 2 kuna coins to operate, so make sure you have some handy. The water here is good for swimming, though a little on the cold side. Overall, a very enjoyable experience having a bed to ourselves and some relaxing hours in the sun with...

Beautiful beach, you can take a “boat taxi” for 10 euros for the 2 ways from Hvar. We went on a day where it wasn't too crowded, but I can sense that it wouldn't be a pleasant experience if the beach is too crowded. To get the full experience and enjoy, you need to pay for a bed (which costs 60 eur for the day). The restaurant is serves excellent dishes, the grilled fish was delicious but yes it is somehow expensive, but we expected it to be expensive. Nothing forbids you to take on sandwiches and beverages if you’re going low budget mode. I recommend you to at least visit this beach once when in Hvar.

We got the sea taxi across as couldn't go on a boat tour owing to choppy seas as there was a storm Think it was 60kuna As with this region take sea shoes or sandals (I wore ky vans) as the beaches are stoney and the sea has lots of rocks. We had a sun bed each for the day which was 100kuna It is really beautiful and the sea is incredible We didn't eat on the island but the places looked nice, we took a picnic with us. A pastry and some crisps etc Definitely worth visiting
