Lookout Tower Mađerka Hill — Attraction in Općina Štrigova

A beautiful lookout point near Štrigova, situated at 361 meters above sea level, offers a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and neighboring countries. Standing 27 meters tall, the lookout is surrounded by unique terraced vineyards.

A special attraction is the “Goričko sviralo” – a one-of-a-kind wind-powered instrument built into the structure of the tower. Using screens located at the base and at the top of the lookout, visitors can select songs for playback, including Međimurje folk songs – a traditional style of singing from Međimurje, listed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Near the entrance to the lookout, there is a wine fountain where visitors can taste wines from the Međimurje region, including the indigenous variety Pušipel. A perfect place for a day trip, to relax in nature, and enjoy the rich traditions...
