On arriving we were not expecting a beautiful hidden location but the green space, animals and mini games were great for the whole family so able to stay for longer with the bits to do. When buying the tickets we were a little disappointed to be told that you had to go in with a tour guide so not allowed to go and explore on your own HOWEVER our tour guide Dominic was a delight and actually made the whole experience even more special, he can speak perfect English and was able to switch to German with the other party group but this gave us time to look around for ourselves. Dominic also managed to understand and deliver a good English sense of humor which made everyone in our group of 10 laugh with age ranges from 9 - 67. We stopped here while traveling back home from Istria. We were a bit worried at first that it will take us too much time but it didn't. The entire cave tour lasted for about 20 minutes. And it is doable for younger kids as well. The cave interior is really beautiful and amazing. Schönes Familienausflugsziel in sehr ruhiger Lage. Gerade im touristenbevölkertem Istrien genießt man es dann mal richtig, wenn sich nicht überall Mensch an Mensch reiht.
Der Parkplatz ist ca 100 Meter von der Höhle entfernt aber diese ist dank super Beschilderung quer durch den kleinen Ort gut zu finden.
Das Areal ist gross und wirkt sehr ordentlich. Es gibt diverse Spielgeräte, einen Fußballplatz für die kleinen und ein paar bekannte Figuren, die sich gern mit den kleinsten oder kleingebliebenen fotografieren lassen:-)
Die Grotte darf nur mit einer gebuchten Führung betreten werden, rauchen und Hunde sind hierbei nicht erlaubt. Die Führung dauert ca 20 Minuten und findet ca jede halbe Stunde statt. Erwachsene zahlen hierfür 50 kuna, Kinder 30. Zur Führung selbst kann ich leider nicht soviele Angaben machen, da ich den Hund oben bewacht habe :-) aber meine Mädels fanden es toll. Die Führerin erklärt alles auf Englisch und baut den einen oder anderen Witz mit ein um die Sache nicht so trocken zu gestalten.
Oben gibts natürlich Eis und Souvenirs und jede Menge schattige Plätze, die zum verweilen einladen. Auch einige infotafeln zur Höhle und über das Handwerk der glasbläser stehen für die eigene...
