Amazing nature gem that is kind of hidden due to its low-key presence in most of “Things to do in Istra” guides. It’s nevertheless well worth seeking and checking out pretty much all year round. We hiked down it during winter and despite the weather being cloudy and the sky overcast it was an amazing and very much a picturesque adventure. While this hike is not hard to do it’s not for everyone. There are parts where you’ll need to use cable wires to lower yourself into the canyon. That being said, our dog had no problem climbing, jumping, running, and walking through the canyon. During autumn and winter the trail can get slippery due to moisture and fallen leaves but with a bit of caution it’s a breeze to conquer. The hike offers gorges views as well as a wonderful wilderness refuge.

Sidenote: There are several ways to get to it. If you choose to drive to the canyon entrance be sure to do it when it’s been a few days of dry weather. The service road that takes you to it is on a rough side with bigger rocks sticking out here and there as well as patches of mud. If your car is low to the ground then leave it on the top of the hill and just hike down to the canyon entrance. The road is no problem for any four wheel...

Need more attention from the local community to improve this place and develop its potential as a natural gem and relaxing spot in this area. Places like this with a stream of water are ideal for families, couples, and friends. But now is just a place to transit with almost no reason to stop for more than 10 minutes.
