Came here after visiting the Plitvice NP and this was much better. The last mile on road is a little daunting especially if you have a hire care but the views are so worth it. It is a private park and we met the owner, there was no charge and all he wanted was for photos and a review for the park itself. We walked up the railway and I tried to go down the hill using the ropes but decided against it. We stopped just to look at the falls which are awesome and the owner sold us a drink no hard sell. The owner is still doing things up and noticed that work has started on the last stretch with a digger we passed on the way. Although a little out of the way highly recommend this place and when we come back to Croatia would definitely come back...

Weird experience. As said previously, the road Is bad, the parking is non-existent. Then you start walking, entering what seems to be (and is) a private property. But no sign stating that it is. You see people eating, you keep walking and arrive to the reason why you came: the bulk. And then suddenly, you are asked to pay 7 euros / person. SO: yes the place is great and definitely worth a visit if you are around. BUT: please make it clear right from the start that this is a private property, and that there is an entry fee. (We ended up not paying after discussion). The project is great , the potential incredible and I do understand that it needs financial support, but please just be clear right from the start...

Don't worry about the road its now tarmac all the way to the carpark. Its about 15 min drive from the main road. Entry is still free and no signs of it changing. They are still working on facilities at the falls edge, but there are tables and chairs right next to the falls. You can also swim in the river above the falls. The view is stunning. I think better on this side of the river as the falls seem to face you better and you can sit and enjoy them up close. We were there a Friday in June and had the place entirely to ourselves. Falls are an easy 5-10 min walk from the car park. Well worth the trip, bring a picnic, some beers or wine and spend some...

The place is indescribably beautiful. As of May 2024, admission is still free, but it seems they might introduce an entrance fee soon. They're renovating the site, making it even more stunning. The waterfalls are majestic and powerful, truly awe-inspiring. The host who greeted us was very friendly and explained the best viewpoints for the waterfalls. I highly recommend visiting if you want to avoid crowds and overpriced spots, and instead enjoy nature in its raw beauty. It was very calm and relaxing, though the road to get there was easy except for the last part, which isn't paved yet.
