Babica Jezero — Attraction in Općina Gračac

Beautiful carst mountain lake just on the border with Bosnia. We wanted to approach with cars but in November after snow we had to walk as macadam road was under snow and ice and we needed 4wd cars for this. After you reach place you need to go down and then climb on the hill from which you can see the lake. As days was short and we did not have time to reach lake we went to another hill with excellent lookout point just above the lake and then returned to macadam road with another mountain trail. Het Babic Meer is een uitzicht zoals je die in films en in dromen ziet. Het is daar werkelijk prachtig. De natuur om het meer heen is adembenemend mooi en het water blauw helder. Ik heb de weg ernaartoe gelopen vanaf Dugopolje; dit is denk ik het makkelijkste. Het enige waar je rekening mee moet houden, is dat je toestemming nodig hebt van de douane. Het betreft geen grensovergang voor toeristen. Het zwemmen in dit meer zal ik nooit vergeten. Je kan rustig over het gehele meer baantjes trekken en het staat garant voor een lange dag waterplezier.
