It's not good, it's fantastic, majestic, grandiose and stunning. The monument keeps worthly presenting the atrocities people from this area suffered in the WWII till nowadays. Amazing monument, highest quality architecture and superb design of the renowned world - class sculptor Vojin Bakić. You can climb to the top because its opened but be careful still because it is an abandoned monument for more than 30 years. Hopefully they will renew it because the monument, the people and our history definitely deserves it. Let alone the Partisan struggle but this was the scene of the famous battle between the Croatian king Petar Snačić and Hungarian King Koloman and his army who claimed right on...

The Monument to the Uprising of the People of Banija and Kordun is actually a big memorial complex. Sadly, now it's a ruin. It had been built in 1970's as a functional antifascism monument - it worked as a museum for a short time. It has been devastated in Croatian War of independence and ever since. However it is still very attractive, beautiful, mysterious... The gross design of the interior stunning. Frankly it looks like a 22nd century building. Despite being very dangerous, entering it and climbing the roof (by stairs) is granted by a spectacular view. It is great for a half-day or whole-day excursion because there are numerous other...

Great experience, a monument I wanted to visit for a long long time. It isn’t in the best shape as it can clearly be seen in the pictures, but it’s still majestic and it carries a lot of meaning and emotions. Just be ready to take a walk of 1.30/2hrs to get there: the road is closed due to massive floods that made it dangerous for cars, but it’s very safe by foot. You can park in the restaurant free parking and also enjoy a meal there. The local police informed us that the road won’t be opened any time soon, so I suggest to bring mountain boots or very comfortable shoes for the hike.

Quite the sight to see if you got the time to drive there. It is an abandoned project that was supposed to be a monument against fascism, but political conflicts caused the project to shut down and become abandoned. As it stood, people would take the steel sheets and leftover equipment for themselves. Hence why it now looks so abandoned. The place is locked, and you are not supposed to enter. As it can be dangerous with debris falling down. Is there a way inside? Those who explore around the building will find a way inside, where you can get to the roof and enjoy the view!
