The names of Croatian beaches should be changed by deleting "beach" to "rocky shoreline" as there really is no traditional beach with sand that we have found in this part of Croatia. The waters are crystal clear, are very beautiful and extremely chilly in the morning hours, even in August, due to fresh water springs and thermal clines. The water warms up in the afternoon, though.

Kostrena di trova appena fuori Rijeka verso sud, è una località molto carina. Ci sono parecchie spiaggette e insenature molto belle e pittoresche che sono collegata da una stradina sul mare che offre stupende vedute della zona, lungo la stradina ci sono molti chioschi carini, alcune pizzerie, un centro per fare immersioni sempre molto frequentato ed anche l’Horel Lucija struttura un po’ vecchia con stanze che offrono un bel panorama di Kostrena e il mare. Tutte queste piccole baie sono molto belle per fare un bagno e godersi un bel sole. Se si è in zona è consigliabile anche visitare la città di Rijeka molto interessante, Krikvenica con le sue stupende spiagge e l’isola di Krk veramente bella.

There are several beautiful and picturesque beaches and bays that are connected by a narrow road overlooking the sea that offers beautiful views of the area, along the road there are many cute kiosks, some pizzerias, a diving center always very popular and also the Horel Lucija a little old structure with rooms that offer a beautiful view of Kostrena and the sea.
