Kumrovec is known for being a birth place of Tito but the old village open-air museum is much more than that. It has about 20 old, restored houses that paint a picture of the village life in Zagorje in the 19th century. It's one of the best open air museums I've visited so far. The houses and the grounds are beautifully restored and one can learn a lot about the traditional crafts. It's very entertaining and fun for kids as well. It's a perfect day trip...

Very good museum. Tito's house is only one part of the museum it's actually a very big open air museum representing the old village of Kumrovec. But not only the buildings themselves you can go inside and there are permanent exhibitions of the old farming lifestyle. Very nice built and maintained.
