The only interesting thing to visit there is the cave. The person at the entrance of the cave knows a lot about it, and her presentation was interesting and educational. But the same cannot be said about the guy who was guiding us through the forest. He was not as informative and helpful as the guide for the cave, and what's worse, his pace was too fast for small kids and elderly who were, in the end, lagging behind for over 20 minutes. The whole trip is not suited for people with disabilities and can be dangerous if they try. Walking through the forest with torchlights might sound like a good idea, but in the end, you can't see anything because torchlights can't illuminate the forest that well, and besides your eyes are most of the time focused on the path. The forest path is quite short; you get to see the bear cave, the half-cave Golubinjak, and the tallest/oldest tree. The bear cave is very small and not too interesting. The problem is that the entrance of the cave is very narrow, and there are 40 people trying to see it at the same time. When it comes to the Golubinjak half-cave, I suppose it is quite beautiful, but because you're there during the night, you don't get to see it that well. The same goes for the tallest/oldest tree. It's pitch black, and torchlights can't illuminate such a huge tree, so you're able to see only the lower part of it. We were there last year and at some point along the forest path, there was a lady singing a song, while at the Golubinjak half-cave we had a man playing an instrument (I think it was a violin). Both of them enriched the experience of the walk through the forest quite a bit, especially in the half-cave Golubinjak because of the shape of the cave. But both were missing this year, which made the experience a little disappointing and boring. When I asked the guide about it, he said that was cancelled two years ago, which was a misinformation, because we were there last year and they had it as a part of the program. In the end, you get to try their famous goulash with palenta. It is ok, but for the price it's a bit small. If you plan to visit the Forest Park Golubinjak, go during a day. Otherwise, just go...
Read moreWe visited the park on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Entrance is 4 euros per person. There are barbecues that can be used, a playground for a fee, a children's playground, a restaurant. The toilets are not very well maintained and clean. There are hiking trails that are not maintained at all, there were fallen trees, thorny bushes and we gave up in the middle of the trek because there was no way to continue, very unfortunate because the way back was difficult especially with a small child. It is imperative that someone takes care of the maintenance, because in places it hides danger for people's lives. The other path says it goes to a train line, but in the end there was nothing. The nature is beautiful and...
