National park Mljet entrance and ticket stand — Attraction in Općina Mljet

The lady staff member stationed here at the time I visited was so unhelpful. They had no idea what time the doctors surgery would open, (1:30pm on Mondays if you need, I used google translate) they said ‘isn’t there a number on the door you could ring?’ It was all in Croatian so I had to use a translator app instead of them just walking 10m to help me read it. I went back and spoke to the guy about who was mildly more helpful however I told him I need to see the doctor urgently and he basically said ‘you need to go to Babine Polje’ (open all the time btw) and ‘bye’. the park is very beautiful. The score does not go to the park but to the management. At the entrance the staff was especially rude, mocking me in Croatian thinking that I didn't understand. The information they have given me has been scarce and imprecise. First of all, the ferry route has two stops and not just one (pristaniste-sveta marija-mali most). The staff did not warn me that the cloister of the Benedictine monastery on the island was closed on Sunday (the monastery was an important stop for me). The park itself gets a 4 but the ticket stand is more of a 3. The staff don't offer much guidance on the park and the boat schedules run too far apart to make the most out a day trip to mljet (could be september schedules only). The park itself only allows for bikes and walking/hiking which makes spending a hot day here very uncomfortable. You have to plan your day to see a lot the park in one day which is why people probably stay overnight and buy a 2 day ticket. Toilet facilities should be made free...
