Wonderful wines, especially the dignač. We tried reserve, royal and superior and it only gets better and better, lots of oaky flavours from barrel aging, dark fruits, vanilla. I have to lower the score to 4 stars though, due to lack of possibility to pay by card. I’ve seen in other the reviews that the owner doesn’t really see this as a problem as long as he delivers the best wines. Well, it is a problem. You may have the best product on earth, but if you do not offer a convienent way for your customers to purchase that product it is going to affect your score. Especially if majority of your customers are foreigners who are used to cash free living. Living in Poland I haven’t had any cash my in wallet for years. That also includes numerous travels to different countries. Croatia suprised me as being still very much cash dependent, however all of major restaurants offer card payments. If you offer one of the best and more expensive wines in croatia, you MUST offer card payments. I was only able to pay because I’ve seen the reviews before so I have specifically withtrawn the money just to pay for this visit....

We had a fantastic experience visiting this winery last week. Our guide was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. She took us through the vast cellars—said to be the largest private wine cellar in Croatia.

The wines were outstanding. I especially enjoyed the Pošip aged in acacia wood, which had more structure and depth than the standard version. The Royal Selection Dingač is a beautifully complex, high-end wine that would pair wonderfully with meats. We also tried the Superior, an unusual and fascinating wine—somewhere between port and Amarone—unlike anything I’ve tasted before. Definitely worth trying.

We visited as a group of six near the end of the day to celebrate a birthday, and they kindly stayed open just for us. They also served incredible meat and cheese platters (see photo below), which made the tasting even more enjoyable.

Two things to keep in mind.

  1. They only take cash,
  2. Warning you may end up buying more wine than you planned; it's significantly cheaper than on the open market. luckily there is a cash machine a few...

I'm rating 5 stars because of the atmosphere and great overall experience. The wine itself I would rate 4. It has a distinctive taste, coming from the varieties grown in the region. During our recent trip around Croatia we realised the we like the white wine here much more than the red. So I would say it is a matter of taste.

We drove from Oberić for the wine tasting that was easy too book via google form in the Google maps link. For 70 kuna (around €10) we had a huge platter of local cheese and our favourite Dalmatian ham plus, of course, the wine, including four types (1 white, 2 red and 1 dessert). I think it was a very good price for the degustation with food.

Additionally we also tried sparkling (not so impressive, especially considering the price per bottle of 120 kuna) and another white, which liked and bought afterwards.

Unfortunately due to Covid measures the tour was not guided. It would be great to hear the history while browsing the cellars.

Overall great small winery to visit! Friendly...
