The caves are very nice, but you need some luck with the guide. The girl we had was very hurried. The first 800m to the entrance to the cave uphill were very fast and very hard for our 5yo to follow in 34° heat. We got there more than an hour ahead, so she could have told us to already do the 800m to the cave. The guide was constantly 50-100m ahead of us. In the cave itself she was also constantly way ahead of us and by the time we got to her, she had already finished most of the info she gave to the other 3 guests. She knew way ahead we had a child, so she could have informed us if accordig to her it would be too fast, but to be fair, it was already pretty fast for adults to follow. She told us this was just the pace of the tour, afterwards. The tour took 45min at her speed while the booklet said 1h15 and she told us beforehand 1h30. While walking back on our own, we met the next tour group. They also had a child about the same age and the tour guide was walking the 800m together with them, as it should be. The caves are nice, but the guide we had was not suited...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Pećinaki Park Grabovača and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience thanks to our guide, Marko. Rarely have I encountered such a cheerful and engaging guide; unlike many others who strictly stick to the topic at hand, Marko brought an infectious energy and enthusiasm to the tour, making it not only informative but also incredibly fun.
However, it's worth noting that this tour may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues. The walk to the cave alone requires about 15 minutes of walking, and once inside, be prepared for nearly 1000 steps. But let me assure you, every step is worth it. The cave's mesmerizing formations and the guide's insightful commentary make it a journey you won't soon forget.
Overall, Pećinaki Park Grabovača exceeded my expectations, and I can't recommend it enough for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes and be ready...
Read moreThe site is amazing, nice trekking paths around, playground and view point. We came for the cave visit and we bought 2 tickets and the information center, no need to make reservations before your visit. You must walk 650m before reaching the entry of the cave and not a flat path take your time to do this part and the meeting point in downstairs nearby the cave entrance. The guide was ok but she told us she have a big group with Croatian visitors and she will reply to our questions. We felt a little bit disappointed because she did not explain all information to us as the Croatian group, easy to understand the explanation for us were super short. You must take one jacket and one pocket light m, inside the light is not enough and it’s cold. We did lot of visits of caves and this one is big but not very safe and lot of parts are slippery. I don’t recommend this visit with young kids. Price 14 euros per adult in...
