Golden Bay Beach — Attraction in Općina Punat

This beach is simply beautiful. On arrival, I completely forgot that I was in Europe; it made me feel as if in the Caribbean or something. The water is deep blue and without litter, the cliffs are stunning, and the wildlife surrounding the scenery is wonderful. From dozens of sea birds to sea cucumbers, Golden Bay Beach has it all. This makes snorkeling a blast. The water is around 3m deep, making it safe for children to snorkel, but it is a little risky for jumping or diving. Because of the shallow water, you can see all the organisms around the place.

The beach itself is uncomfortable. It's rocky and hot, but that doesn't make it any less photogenic. The rocks sparkle in the sunlight and the stark contrast between the white and golden stones is amazing. With a towle at hand, it's perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. Without a towle, it's quite painful.

There really isn't much else to say about this beach. It has a small, cozy feel to it and is breath taking to view. Just be careful when touching the ground underwater or jumping in, as there are sea urchins around. Anyway, it was definitely a 5 star experience, and I would go again.
