The amenities around the lake were generally good, providing well-maintained picnic areas that enhanced the overall experience. However, there is room for improvement, particularly in terms of food and drinks or restrooms. Basically none.

Lake Mir (Jezero Mir), meaning “Lake Peace,” is a unique saltwater lake located on Dugi Otok, within the Telašćica Nature Park in Croatia. The lake lies near the Adriatic Sea, separated from it by a narrow strip of land made up of karst limestone and cliffs. Despite its proximity to the sea, Lake Mir has slightly higher salinity due to underground connections with the sea, as well as evaporation.

Features of Lake Mir:

• Geography: The lake is about 900 meters long and 300 meters wide, with a maximum depth of around 6 meters. It is surrounded by rugged, rocky terrain and Mediterranean vegetation. • Flora and Fauna: The lake is home to several species of small fish and unique marine life that have adapted to its salty environment. • Temperature: Its shallow depth allows the water to warm quickly during summer, often reaching higher temperatures than the surrounding sea, making it a favorite for swimmers.

Don't listen to the reviews of people complaining about nature, like it's a commodity :D. You have to visit national park if you are in dugi otok. Don't waste money on kayak or boat experience, as you can drive all the way to the salt lake in telascica national park, it's all connected. The lake is warmer than the sea, it's safe and you can swim as a challenge to the other side. The walk to the lake is outstanding with beautiful views of the national park (very worth it, as national parks usually charge, and this is only £7 ticket and £7 for parking - for the whole national park, lots of nature walks and views of mountains). The restaurant is a rip off, bring a picnic or eat somewhere else. We had a great time, and had spent all day there, there is beautiful crystal clear private beaches along the way, we drove...
