Lužnica Manor — Attraction in Town of Zaprešić

Marijin Dvor castle in Lužnica was first mentioned in 1673. The present one-storey, three-winged Baroque castle was constructed at the beginning of the 18th century. The first owners were the Čikulini family. The life of Julio Čikulini, who settled in Lužnica, is an incredible story of success. He got rich as the manager of the Zrinski estate in Primorje, but feuded with the Zrinski family because of that and was banished. On our tour of Zapresic's castles, this one was a must. We didn't go inside the castle but spent an hour around it. The park behind is great, well decorated and really looking nice. The birds in the lake are also u plus.

The day was a bit rainy so we saw an amazing rainbow right above the castle at some point.

You can park in front of the castle but be aware of the working hours so you don't miss out...

Povijesno-kulturni spomenik visoke spomeničke vrijednosti – barokni dvorac Lužnica. U samome dvorcu izvršena su mnogobrojna restauratorska istraživanja, obnove i sanacije. Uz pomoć Ministarstva kulture, a najvećim dijelom iz vlastitih sredstava, u cijelosti je obnovljeno krovište dvorca. Izvršena je i temeljita sanacija pukotina u cijelom zdanju. Obnovljene su elektroinstalacije, centralno grijanje, dovod plina i vode, unutarnja i vanjska drenaža, te kanalizacija. Izvedeni su i soboslikarski radovi te izmjena podova.Veliki podrum s više prostorija potpuno je uređen i zajedno sa svojom prostranom dvoranom pripremljen za konferencije, večernja druženja i rekreativne programe. Time je jedan od deset najvrijednijih dvoraca sjeverozapadne Hrvatske sačuvan od sigurnog propadanja.

Uokolo dvorca pomno je uređen veliki perivoj s jezerom, vraćene su povijesne šetnice (više od 2 km duge) i postavljeni paviljoni. Da bi se omogućio bolji i ljepši pristup dvorcu, sjeverno je dvorište opločeno i urešeno cvjetnom rondelom, a za ugodnije trenutke odmora i večernju meditaciju s južne je strane dvorca pripremljena malena terasa s...
