"The Soroa Waterfall" — Attraction in Candelaria

The Soroa Waterfall is a truly beautiful spot, surrounded by lush nature and a calm, relaxing environment. When I visited, the place was almost empty, which made the experience even more peaceful and enjoyable. The sound of the water and the scenery make it a perfect place to disconnect and appreciate nature. That being said, the walk from the road to the waterfall takes about 20–25 minutes, and the path is not in great condition. It has steep ups and downs, uneven steps, and areas that could be unsafe, especially for elderly visitors, children, or anyone with mobility difficulties. Improving and securing the trail would make the waterfall more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. La cascada de Soroa es un sitio natural fascinante, un destino imperdible durante la visita a la Habana y los alrededores.

Antes de llegar a la cascada se puede disfrutar una fabulosa aventura natural; una caminata rodeada de verde frondoso, con espectaculares vistas, majestuosos paisajes y al llegar, encontrar agua manantial, simple, fresca que cae sobre las rocas.

A la cascada, se puede llegar a través de dos entradas que están unidas entre si por un sendero. La primera entrada es más cercana a la cascada, requiere menor tiempo e implica menos esfuerzo para llegar. La segunda, está ubicada algunos metros más adelante, cerca al orquídeario. Esta entrada, a diferencia de la primera, está más alejada, ofrece mejores vistas del paisaje, requiere más tiempo e implica mayor esfuerzo para llegar, pues se debe descender aproximadamente 300 escalones.

Al llegar a la cascada, se puede disfrutar un refrescante chapuzón en las piscinas naturales cercanas. Aunque es un sitio maravilloso que vale el esfuerzo visitar, es recomendable llevar provisiones para el trayecto como: abundante agua, empaquetados u alimentos para consumir durante la caminata o en las piscinas.

Es importante tener en cuenta que cerca a este lugar no hay tiendas ni venta de suministros o alimentos.

This waterfall can be reached by road and thereafter it is a short walk up to reach the different levels of lakes and falls.
