Had a great morning here visiting the family home of fidel and raul Castro. I have had a huge interest in cuban history, politics and culture past, present and future so right up my street. If you haven't got that interest then this place may not be your first choice for a visit.
The home (ranch) is quite extensive (the Castro family were wealthy land owners) and the site has been turned into a well preserved museum. Guides provided and loads of exhibits with written explanations (in espanol of course!) So good to have the guide.
This is mostly away from any political spin one way or the other- the family facts and upbringing history are what they are.
Point to note- the ranch is high in the hills where local climates can differ from lower down resorts. We were ok but if its been raining up there the tours are limited so some buildings can only be viewed from outside (to control internal humidity in a bid to...

Ein Familiengrab gibt es ebenfalls. Modernisiert mit Marmor ist es aber nur begrenzt "echt": Fidel wurde hier nicht beigesetzt. Sein Bruder Rául wird nach seinem Tod seine letzte Ruhestätte auch woanders finden.
