Puente de Bacunayagua — Attraction in Matanzas

ATTENTION PLEASE! Rental car drivers are being cheated!!! After we returned to the parking lot, one of the tires was suddenly flat. The parking attendant and a taxi driver wanted to drive us immediately to Havanna or Matanzas, even though we hadn't even looked at the tire yet! Very strange! We chased them away and changed the wheel ourselves. We later learned that this is an act to get a lot of money from tourists! A great place to stop when travelling from Varadero to Havana (or on the way back). Great views and wonderful Pina coladas. The washrooms are clean and well maintained and there are plenty of souvenirs if you are into that sort of thing. There was a band playing when we stopped. I am not sure how often they are there. Beautiful viewpoint to stop at when youre travelling between Havana and Matanzas or elsewhere east of Havana. We stopped for like 30 mins there, so I just stepped outta the van to stretch my legs, but was still able to capture the nice view of the gorge-thing in the photo I attached to my review.
