Kelefos Bridge is probably the most well known of all the Venetian Bridges. It is certainly one of the more accessible ones, especially if you have tried to find Roudia or Archimandrita Bridge.

If you visit during summer, there may only be a trickle running under it. But if you are here during winter you are in for a treat.

When you visit, don't just take in the bridge. There is Elia Bridge up the road to see as well. But before you do that, cross the bridge and take the nature trail up the hill. It is a lovely route that will result in some lovely views of the reservoir.

The only downside to this place is that you will get scalped if you buy an icecream (assuming the van is here). His prices...

We hiked to the Venetian bridge of Tzelefos from the deserted Vretsia via the Roudias bridge. The distance was about 19 km. It is incredible that here in the middle of a huge forest area there is suddenly a beautiful bridge built by the Venetians over the Varvaros River. There are actually three bridges on the route (Roudias, Tzelefos and Elia) and in the Middle Ages an important ore transport route from the mountains down to Paphos and the port passed through them. The Tzelefos bridge is apparently the largest and most beautiful of the medieval bridges in Cyprus. The place is almost magically beautiful. It could be a part of The Loard of The Rings movie. It is also easily...

Besides the interesting history of this medieval Venetian bridge, it is such a picturesque and lovely location in the woods, over a river. The river was more of a gentle stream when we were there in late May (a local tour guide told us that the previous winter did not bring a lot of rain). You can reach it on foot via a hiking trail or just drive right up to it and park the car. There are multiple benches around. We had our picnic lunch there. It's free, always open. A very beautiful, quiet, peaceful spot.
