An experience like never before I first came to the Adonis Botanical Garden a couple of weeks ago. I'd driven past it and was unsure whether to go back or give it a miss this time. Well, I am so glad I chose to go to it. Unlike any botanical garden I have been to before. It is an experience not just a garden. During my first visit I was greeted with a warm welcome from Michalis, who took me to the bar area for a refreshing soft drink and some water. The conversations with this man, Dr Michalis, were very inspiring and I was in complete awe of everything he said. He showed me around and we went towards the pool area, a refreshing pool with the water sourced from the mountains. This place is like a paradise. Calm, peaceful, beautifully kept, and you can feel and appreciate the passion and heart that has gone into creating, and the upkeep of this beautiful haven. After my first visit I left with such knowledge and amazement at everything I had heard and seen, all created by Michalis. Though I realised when I returned home and looked at the leaflet, that I hadn't actually seen everything, so I decided this was a great reason to return. The second visit, was yet again filled with awe inspiring conversations, knowledge about different herbs and great hospitality from Michalis, and Maria who I also met this time. An experience like never before. If you are around this area, it is worth every minute of your time to visit Dr Michalis, Maria and Adonis Botanical Garden. Thank you Michalis, I am very grateful to have met you and hope to visit again soon 🙏🏼✨

Herbs and perfumes and whatnot. We went to the Botanic Gardens in a small rental car. The drive there was rather terrifying, since the mountain was very steep and the road was... Well, let's just say a sponge has less holes. After surviving a few of the most horrifying moments of my life, we finally arrived. We were enthusiastically welcomed by the owner of the place. I'm not really interested in the magical healing abilities of herbs myself, but we decided to give it a shot anyway. We were charged 10 euros for the tour. I sadly had a panic attack shortly after we arrived because of the rocky road trip we had and then I saw a huge spider in the bathroom. So sorry about that by the way. But the owner was very nice about it and tried to give me all sorts of divine life advice. It was very sweet. I'm strongly against the idea of there being a god because of my upbringing, but it was still a nice gesture. The tour itself was interesting, I've learned a lot about plants. We were urged to smell everything and my senses were soon overwhelmed. Eventually I finally found my rest and we were given some watermelon to eat. Delicious, by the way. If I may ask one thing on behalf of the sweet little doggies next to the peacock, they might love a blanket or something to lie down on when you're away instead of a concrete floor or some squeaky toys to play with. But that's your choice of course. I would like to thank you for the lovely stories and I hope you'll continue to expand your garden!

What an incredible afternoon! We've been visiting the locality for a few years now and were looking for somewhere new to go. I don't know how we'd failed to visit before! My wife and I arrived unannounced to see what we would find. A very warm welcome and great hospitality for a start! We were invited in by Michalis and his wonderful wife and provided with refreshments and an unrivalled panoramic vista from the terrace bar, overlooking the dam and sea. After a good natter, we were shown around the gardens, some of the stunning plants and favourite spots and views. Taking in the fragrances of the herbs and wide variety of plants. This led us up to the pool area where we cooled off with a swim, more drinks and great conversation. Finally we dried up and went back to the terrace where Michalis explained and sampled how they make their oils and seasonings. Truly passionate in his surroundings with incredible vision to a future with more to offer. 100% was not sure what to expect before arrival, 100% will be going back to pay another visit. Totally unlike any other experience I've had. Not just a 'look around', spent a good few hours effortlessly with the views, swimming and conversation. Clean and tidy, good WC facilities, easy enough for changing for a dip. Whole heartedly, thankyou!

What an absolutely unforgettable experience! We thought we were going to look around some beautiful gardens going in, but what we realise only upon arrival that we were about to be whisked into a magical warm, hospitable welcoming sanctuary of the hosts, Michalis and Maria. In our highly commercialised world, even in the area of tourism, this place stands apart by being an oasis of connectedness, friendship and nature. Michalis gives a wonderful tour of the garden and wholeheartedly shares the beauty of it with the visitors, we spent about 2 hours there and this was not enough! There is so much to see and experience: from the beautiful plants and adorable pets and animals, the beautiful fresh-water pool lovingly constructed by the hosts, the breathtaking views of the lake, the sea and the mountains. The hosts connect on a personal level, we had lovely chats and we were served refreshing drinks and fruit grown in the garden. Michalis had introduced us to the amazing array of spices and herbs and essential oils, all produced from the gifts of the garden and under his vast knowledge and expertise! Our children of all different ages enjoyed it so so much! This is a place where one would want to come back again and again, regardless of age!!!! This was our first visit, but certainly the last! Thank you Michalis and Maria for sharing your gem with the world and for making everyone feel so welcome...
