A Great Visit to LionSpirit Winery

Our trip to LionSpirit Winery today turned out to be a lovely surprise. The moment we arrived, the overall atmosphere felt pleasant, and the staff warmly greeted us, guiding us in and asking about our wine preferences. They brought clean glasses and various wines for us to taste, while sharing detailed introductions—their professionalism was impressive.

We learned this is a local winery with a long history, previously well-known for producing Commandaria, Cyprus' national wine. One of their Commandaria wines is named "Amber," which happens to be our eldest daughter’s name. We mentioned this casually, and to our delight, the staff kept it in mind. When we decided to buy a bottle of Commandaria, they thoughtfully prepared a little surprise gift related to it for our daughter—such a heartfelt gesture that truly warmed our hearts.

Later, we went upstairs to try their food. The menu is simple, focusing on burgers and fries, but their signature "Lion Heart Burger" (tied to the winery’s name) was outstanding. It had a high-quality beef patty plus tender, slow-cooked pork chunks—you could see the meat fibers, and every bite was delicious. When we ordered coffee, they also served two small cups of nut liqueur, suggesting we mix it into the coffee. It made the coffee even more rich and fragrant—definitely worth trying!

Lambouri Winery in Cyprus is a true gem that offers an exceptional tasting experience. This was our first visit to this place, and we were immediately enchanted by both the wines and the atmosphere.

We tasted various types of wines: white, red, and the Nutcracker liqueur, which turned out to be a real hit. Lambouri's white wines are characterized by their freshness and delicate fruity notes, perfect for warm days. The red wines, on the other hand, surprise with their depth of flavor and rich aromas that linger on the palate. However, the Nutcracker liqueur stood out particularly - its delicious, nutty taste with subtle hints of spices made each sip a pure delight.

Our tasting was led by Dragos, an incredibly charismatic and funny host. His passion for wine was contagious, and the way he talked about each of the tasted beverages made the tasting not only a pleasure for the palate but also a fascinating lesson in the art of winemaking. Dragos perfectly balanced professionalism with humor, making everyone feel at ease and relaxed.

We visited the Lambouri Winery and had an exceptional wine tasting experience! Thanks to the wonderful employee Jeni, the tasting became a celebration of authentic Cypriot flavors and aromas. Jeni, with her deep knowledge and charming smile, took us on a fascinating journey into the world of local wine. She patiently explained each wine, shared interesting stories about the winery and vineyards, and managed to convey her love for wine to us. The wines themselves were simply amazing! A rich variety of flavors, complex aromas, and a long and impressive finish. Each wine told its own story and presented the Cypriot terroir in the best possible way. Thanks to Jeni, we left the winery not only with unforgettable memories but also with 6 bottles of excellent wines that will accompany us for a long time.
