I can’t say enough about the incredible experience we had at Etel Vineyard in North Cyprus, all thanks to Goli. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make our group feel not only welcome but truly cared for. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine passion for what she does made this visit unforgettable.

I’ve visited Etel before, but Goli made this trip something truly special. I’ve stayed at some of the finest hotels in the world — the Ritz, the Savoy, the Merit — and I can honestly say that the caliber of service Goli provides surpasses even those standards. She’s an absolute gem to this place, a rare kind of host who makes you feel like you belong there.

The wines themselves were exquisite, but what set the experience apart was the way Goli guided us through the tasting and cheese pairing. She shared her knowledge in such an engaging, accessible way that even those of us who’ve done wine tours before came away with a whole new appreciation and understanding.

This wasn’t just a tour — it was an experience, made extraordinary by someone who clearly loves what she does and takes pride in sharing it with others. I travel a lot and enjoy trying local wines wherever I go. Even in small, lesser-known wineries, I’ve often found surprisingly good bottles. Unfortunately, the white wine from Etel Winery (priced at €16) was a real disappointment.

The taste is overly acidic and unbalanced, with harsh, almost vinegary notes and a metallic finish. I only had a single glass, and shortly after, I felt discomfort and a strong pain in my stomach.

Also worth mentioning — the cork was very poor quality, crumbly and cheap. It’s a small detail, but it reflects the overall lack of care in the product.
