Great Family Experience at Camel Park Mazotos. We spent about 2.5 hours at the Camel Park in Mazotos and had a really enjoyable day. It’s a clean, well-organized place with lots to see and do, making it perfect for families with young kids.
The park is easy to reach by car—just 30 minutes from Larnaca, around 45 minutes from Nicosia, and about 50 minutes from Limassol. It’s in a peaceful rural area, so the drive itself is quite relaxing.
We saw a wide variety of animals—camels, lemurs, goats, an ostrich, turtles, and colorful parrots. Feeding the camels was a real highlight for the kids. We also tried the camel ride, which was a fun and unique experience, and our child really enjoyed the small train ride made for kids.
The playground is large, very clean, and thoughtfully set up. There’s also a traditional old Cypriot house inside the park, which was a nice surprise and added a cultural touch.
Since it was May 1st—a national bank holiday—the restaurant offered a buffet instead of the regular menu. It was actually a really good meal. The highlight was definitely the chicken and pork souvlaki—grilled perfectly and full of flavor. The salads were decent, and the pasta was just okay. The buffet cost €16 per adult and €8 per child, which is good pricing for what we got.
Toilets were very clean, and the whole park was tidy and felt safe throughout.
There’s also a swimming pool available for visitors, but we didn’t use it because of the cooler weather.
Entrance costs €7 for adults, €5 for kids, and babies enter for free. Great value for everything the park offers.
It is a great place to spend a few hours. The park is clean, family-friendly, and full of things to see and do. Whether you're looking for a short trip with kids or just want to spend a few easygoing hours surrounded by nature and animals, this place is definitely...

We’ve attended Mazotos Camel Park each year, paying £70 for entry this time. However, our recent visit turned into a distressing ordeal.
While sitting near the playground- before even seeing any animals or riding camels- we discovered three tiny kittens under a car with their mother. They were in an awful state. Their eyes were so severely infected that, after gently cleaning away the pus, we realized the virus had already caused irreversible damage- their eyes had been eaten away.
We naturally turned to the staff for help, expecting that a facility centered around animals would take their welfare seriously. We were wrong.
Staff met our concerns with aggression, hostility, and even threats. My son had my phone snatched out of his hands, seemingly because they were worried he was recording. They refused to take any responsibility or offer any kind of veterinary help. Instead, we were told they would “move them aside,” whatever that means.
When we said we would take the kittens for medical attention, we were refused permission to take their mother- despite clearly needing to have her neutered to stop this cycle. Initially, they claimed the cats were strays, meaning we should have had the right to help them. But they then reversed this, suggesting they belonged to the park- raising further questions about neglect.
After pushing for a refund, we were reluctantly given our money back- but only because we stood firm. It was clear they just wanted us gone.
Thanks to help from my uncle and aunt, the kittens are now safe and receiving veterinary care.
Please avoid Mazotos Camel Park. Animal welfare appears to be non-existent, and their treatment of guests who try to intervene is shocking. This place does not deserve...
Read moreHad a fantastic visit 3.3.23. There's so many animals to see as well as the camels. Staff are super friendly and helpful especially the young lady at the main reception! She was so friendly and shared excellent tips with us about where to visit and was even able to act as a local guide to another family with young children who wanted to know when and where the local bus routes go to and times as well as share information about the nearest beach. You can see and pet loads of animals and feed them with a large a bag of carobs available from the entrance for a few euro. Admission price is excellent value at 5 euro for adults and 4 for children. Under 6 are FREE! We had a camel ride for 7 euro extra but you don't need to buy this if you just want to pet and feed them. There was also a brilliant lady who took care of the lemurs who told us so much about the animals. She was really friendly and very knowledgable and made our visit extra special. The animals are all really well looked after and in fabulous condition. I would absolutely recommend you visit! We went by hire car and theres lots of free parking on site but there's a bus stop right outside and taxis will also take you. Thank you to all the staff for making our trip so enjoyable! On site there's toilets, amusements, a gift shop, swimming pool and restaurant and access to pet all the animals for the admission fee which is super value to spend the day there and use...
