Mazotos Beach — Attraction in Mazotos

a not so we'll known beach off the beaten track that may need google maps to find it. drive through pervolia towards mazatos. you have to leave the road and drive on a dirt track the rest of the way. a good area to park cars. there's a good bar selling snacks and drinks and also sunbed tickets. €2.50 all day with an umbrella and plastic table. positioned in a bay the sea is quite calm and shallow. mostly used by locals it's not too busy. just right for peace and quiet. the only downside is that unlike the main beaches, this one doesnt have the seaweed cleared before the season. therefore there IS seaweed in the sea. thus didnt stop me from enjoying my day...

This beach is amazing. It IS a sandy beach for those who are still in doubt. There are pebbles too yes, but nothing you couldn't manage. Kids absolutely love playing with them anyways. Shore is very shallow about 50cm for good 20m. It is a very quiet and romantic beach with little to no people. 2 sunbeds under a palmleaved sunshade costs 5 EUR fot the day, which is less than most other beaches. Menší rodinná pláž-asi 200m ve dvou řadách deštníků. Občerstvení na pláži v omezeném množství, ale personál se snaží. Jsou zde k dostání různé druhy kafe, pivo a nealko, něco málo k jídlu. Zmrzlina a nanuky zde nejsou k mání. Je ale vedle pláže restaurace cca 120m, kde se dá za dobré ceny dostatečně najíst. Dále je možnost nakoupit si v obchodu s potravinami ve městě Mazotos, autem pár minut. Bez auta je tady nemožné fungovat. Moře kolem 30°C,dle místních i v říjnu má 27°C. Bez znalosti angličtiny těžká domluva-skoro žádná. Nemohl jsem si zvyknout na jejich opačné vyjádření souhlasu a nesouhlasu, tak jak to je v Bulharsku. Mám v tom binec. Jinak je tu super. Mimo víkend jsou pláže takřka prázdné. Super je, že zatím na nás neútočil žádný dotěrný hmyz a to od Larnaky po Mazotos. Prostě komáři a mouchy nejsou. Ačkoli je to blízko k muslimské aglomerace za mořem(cca 50 km), pokud se někdo přeplaví, místní bezpečnostní orgány je obratem lifrují nekompromisně naspátek, odkud se doplavili. Turisty si tady hledí, pokud se domluvíte angl. jsou místní obyvatelé sdílní a velice příjemní. Tuto destinací...
