This is the best of the 3 'painted churches' we visited, IMO. The 800-year-old icons on the outside of the original church (now enclosed within a modern protective building), depicting Judgement Day, are simply stunning, as is the original wooden door. Moutoulla. Imperdibile località per chi vuole visitare le chiese dipinte dei Monti Troodos, nei suoi dintorni ce ne sono tre tra quelle dichiarate patrimonio dell'umanità dall'UNESCO (Chiesa della Santissima Vergine di Moutoulla, Chiesa dell'Arcangelo Michele ed il Monastero di San Giovanni Portatore della Luce) che valgono il viaggio. Il Lunedì sono chiuse. Se si riesce a combinare con la visita dell'altro villaggio imperdibile di Kalopetria (Chiesa della Vergine Madre di Potidou, Chiesa di San Nicola del Tetto e Cappella dell'Arcangelo Michele anche queste patrimonio dell'umanità dell'UNESCO) in un giorno si saranno viste la metà di queste fantastiche attrazioni....
