I've visited the place many times. Unfortunately, the church is always locked. The advice to pick the key at the nearby farmer's house does not really help. Which farmer's house? The farmer behind the church has big dogs running freely around.
The chapel was built by the Dragoman Christofakis Konstantinou in 1745 and has a fresco depicting himself and his family as founders, as well as many icons signed by the painter Ioannikios.
The "Dragoman" was a diplomatic translator as liaison between a western country and the Ottoman Empire. He usually spoke French, Arabic, Turkish and Farsi. He had big political influence.
