Key takeaways:

  1. As you get closer to the waterfall the internet cuts off, so preload you location on maps beforehand.
  2. The trail is long and I mean LONG, so grab a small bag of snacks and water (exactly the opposite of what I did)
  3. If you rake the escape route you will be met with branching routes: the left one that leads to a restaurant and is shorter, while the right one (the one I took) that leads to the roadside.

Overall, absolutely stunning nature: the small lake that stretches far to the waterfall, lushy welcoming trees and tropical bushes, a straightforward trail leading you with the most convenient (and safe) route down to the waterfall, and then a path to the other side of the main road (though you can also go back, but that's boring) I followed the path from the beginning of the trail down to the waterfall. After which I took the "escape route" which had me walking another 2km and led to the opposite side of the road. On the other hand, I had the joy of listening to birds and singing songs to myself on the go. But that's only me, if you get hungry fast and can't walk long distances non-stop I recommend you stop at half the path to the waterfall, because, really, you're not missing...

Propably the best nature trail we have in Cyprus. Nice walking next to the river, among the trees and vegetation of the forest. Ofcourse the main atraction is the 13 meters tall waterfall with water flowing almost all year round. You start either from the lower level and go uphill if you are in a good physical condition or at the upper level and finish at the location "Tall tree" if you prefer something easier and you have a car waiting for you at the end. I thing is about 3km long. During raining days it can be very slippery, so you must be carefull.

At the end of the trail, at the upper level, you can find the begining of another trail, the trail "Pouziaris" . That trail has 2 directions. One of them can lead you at the parking place...

Probably one of the most beautiful trails in Cyprus! A must for any nature enthusiast and the ones who just start to discover. Nature is at its finest in this linear trail in any season, There are many “little pools” where you can have a cold plunge and in general this place is totally something different from the usual sceneries of Cyprus. It’s not too crowded depending on the days ( weekends it’s the most...
