Archeoskanzen Trocnov — Attraction in okres České Budějovice

On a beautiful sunny day, I decided to visit the Archeoskanzen Trocnov Open Air Museum. Unaware that it was still closed and only open during the high season, I was greeted by two friendly men at the entrance. One of them even offered me a brief, quick tour since I had arrived too early.

The walk through the museum took no longer than 15 minutes as the crow flies, but it was a fascinating journey through time. Old farmhouses, windmills, a church, and artisanal businesses transported me back to a bygone era. Despite everything still being under reconstruction and preparation, I could already sense the historical atmosphere.

I promised myself that I would return during the high season to officially explore the museum. With much gratitude to the kind men who welcomed me, I left the museum with a smile on my face.

The archeoskanzen is still in the construction stage, I believe only one large building out of several is open to public, only on weekends and holidays. Perfektně povedený skanzen, naopak kvitujeme prohlídku s průvodkyni, která vše vysvětlila a i názorně ukázala. Měli jsme štěstí na menší skupinku, tak na vše bylo času dost si vyzkoušet, prohlédnout i vyfotit. Jsou zde dvě prohlidkové trasy, na které potřebujete aspoň 3 hodiny času a je třeba počítat s polední pauzou (prohlídky jsou vždy v celou hodinu a ve 12 není žádná). Trochu na škodu je provizorní zázemí, kvůli stavbě návštěvnického centra, ale 06/2025 by mělo být snad hotovo. Opravdu 4 kadibudky bez vody moc neodpovídají 21. ani 15. století 😉. Je dobré si rezervovat lístky předem, ale pozor je tu mizerný signál a lístky se nemohly dlouho stáhnout. Vzhledem k tomu, že jsme neměli čas na druhou prohlídku, navštívíme za rok a snad už bude hotové nové centrum. Cena je opravdu lidová (07/2024) 80 Kč za dospělého mi přijde dost...
